Import Seafreight Operator

bailey personnel is a National staffing solutions provider to the Aviation Sector.  We have relationships with a number of clients based at Melbourne Airport and surrounding suburbs.  We supply staffing solutions to our clients across a number of Aviation and Sea Freight divisons from Cargo and Freight Forwarding to Accounts and Adminsitration!

bailey personnel has experienced substantial growth in the last 18 months, and we have a higher than average temp - perm conversion.  How do we stay ahead of the others?  By sourcing suitably skilled and qualified staff who love their work as much as we do!

We are currently seeking an experienced Import Seafreight Operator for a permanent position in the Northern suburbs plus various temp/casual  and temp-perm opportunities to to assist Clients based in the Tullamarine and Northern Suburbs.  This is a great oportunity for an experienced operator who is looking for new opportunities in 2019!

As someone who is experienced in this role, you know what is required, but day to day functional requirements and experience are listed below -

• Job Registrations
• Sea Cargo Automation
• Pre alerts and arrival notices
• Dealing with Shipping lines as well as local and overseas agents
• Preperation of shipping documents, coordination and tracking of shipping
• Liasion with Quarantine and Customs Officers as required
• Customers clearance
• EOM, FCL, LCL, FAK
• Invoicing and billings
• end to end Sea Freight Import operations

To be successful in your application you will be able to clearly demonstrate relevant experience in the above and be able to start immediately!  Excellent written and verbal communication is a must in these positions, Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaking skills will be advantegous.
